The last two years have been tough for everyone – especially for small businesses like ours. When non-essential retailers were forced to shut up shop during the Pandemic, we were hit hard. Customers could no longer visit and jewellers could no longer drop off watches for us to repair.
We took the decision to move on-line. Not literally but enough to improve our website and make it easier for you, our valued customers, to find us. We all had to learn new skills during the Pandemic and for us it was digital marketing skills and good old mail order!
As a result, the number of watches we received grew and grew. We do however need to apologise for the long waiting times you may have experienced for vintage watch servicing. Covid hit our workshop several times and although we had the watches, we were occasionally without the staff to service them.
We are delighted (and excited) therefore to be shortlisted for the Barclays Entrepreneur awards. The awards showcase founders and their businesses who have succeeded in bring their creativity, passion and innovation to run successful businesses. We think this this is Steven down to a tee.
We’ll be taking out our suits and brushing up our shoes ready for Awards Ceremony taking place on Thursday, 03 November 2022 at the Science Museum in London.
Fingers Crossed!
