The inaugural celebration of British Watchmakers’ Day will be held on Saturday, 9th March 2024 at the Lindley Hall (Royal Horticultural Halls) in Westminster, hosted by the Association of British Watch & Clock Makers.
You might ask, why, if we only service luxury Swiss-made watches, are we interested? Probably because, just like you, we love all things watch related. British Horology is undergoing a fantastic renaissance. Artisan workshops are springing up across the UK, creating new brands aimed at challenging the Swiss stronghold.
At the moment they do have mountains to climb, but as watch experts, we know the skills, designs and patience are there to deliver some exquisite timepieces.
And if you are a dedicated collector, you’ll be interested to learn that several of the UK’s leading watch designers are creating Special Edition watches for exclusive sale at the British Watchmakers’ Day.
These future collectables will be extremely limited and sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Early information has it that Chairman of the British Alliance of Watch & Clock makers, Roger W. Smith, will be producing a unique Series One and Christopher Ward will be making a special Bel Canto for the event.
